Dear Diary:
Edna, Aunt Otie, Mother and I went to Penely's Dairy Co. and saw them
making ice cream. We went to the city marque and they took us in this
great big refrigerator room where they kept bodies until they were identified.
We also went to the House of Detention, the City Jail where they had men
in solitary confinimednt and by the Court House.

Dear Diary:
We have spent the entire day on the boat. It is a great big boat with
a ball room and everything. We took our dinner and went at 9:30 A. M.
and got off at 6 o'clock P. M. I danced a couple of times with Ann. It
has been a wonderful day.

Dear Diary:
My eyes hurt terrible last night. I guess it was from being on the water
all day. This afternoon when Rich comes home from work Aunt Otie, Lucille,
Edna and I are going to a Club House just on the other side of St. Clair,
Mo.
