Dear Diary:
Last night it came a very hard rain. It always sounds so loud on our tin
roof. No one has been here today except Artie and Aunt Bet. I have been
reading. Mr. Gothard did come down to borrow some books to read. And of
course Dany's children were here. We haven't done much of anything today
but a little of everything. The wind is blowing and kinda cold now.
